We started the day at Komodo Island.

Eagles eat the eggs of the Komodo Dragons.

We disembarked and entered the island for a tour.

We saw five komodo dragons - here are the ones I photographed.

And their nest.

I also saw this cool bug shell which had been left hanging from a branch.

We then headed back to the boat and sailed to "Pink Beach" - edited this to try and show the real life colour of the sand as my camera wouldn't pick it up.

The sand in Komodo Islands is pink due to a type of coral which grows there and deposits into the sand.

There were cute piggies here!

Next we sailed to "Long beach" which was arguably more pink than "pink beach". These pictures are completely unedited (Lucy's camera did a better job than mine here).

There were deer on this beach which made it feel like a weird Christmas fever dream. One of them ran off with a girls bag and was never found 🤣

Beer o'clock!

Next we stopped at Padar Island for the main Komodo viewpoint and sunset - it was stunning.

We got our final briefing from one of our guides called Long.

Dinner time - about 10 seconds from the dinner almost falling over due to the boat rocking - dinner was usually fried rice or noodles with tempe/egg and steamed vegetables.

We then had a party on deck to celebrate the last night and danced under the stars until the AM - I also did
